OpenGL still support (official) W7 too in the last version 4.6 and plus, remember W7 can used DX12/Dx12_1 (if GPU enable it by drivers, RX6650 XT for example) and Vulkan in last version (1.3.302) too like linux/android/10/11/HarmonyOs/NintendoSwich.
Even with no more oficial support OS updates W7 still work better than 11 and yet 7 still have minor security updates sometimes, many programs and games never had a modern version and therefore can only work in W7 and somestimes the modern stuff have less problems on 7 if dont have some special for install/run it. Vulkan for example dont have a core OS, so if you used Vulkan for modern stuff you can run it anywhere.
I like work on 7 (edition,streaming,coding,modding,etc), on my opinion still the best OS microsoft make and for that they try kill it with planned obsolescence while trying to extend the service life of what is not working well like 11 (for gaming is good but no much more) and dev new OS of dubious useful life.
As we say in Spanish “si funciona no lo toques” (if it works, don't touch it) and make 3 backups xD
