Don't know with the shop, I was jumping around all over the place with the one gold one silver trying to get it and as soon as I walked in with the two gold it worked. Might have been a weird only-me thing. Happens to me sometimes. Regarding the enhanced alchemy effects, I played around midnight-ish US Pacific time last night. Don't know if it's been updated since then.
