Great usage of the theme (I don't know if anyone else did "stuff you create is also a resource"), and great idea!
I also liked the presentation (all the stuff was easily reckognisable, and you added labels when shift is pressed- nice quality-of-life improvement). Same goes for sounds and music- I was pleasently surprised when music started when I opened the map!
From the other hand- I didn't end the game- I got stuck trying different combinations of stuff, and couldn't find the ones I didn't, Some form of "journal" could be useful (like- you checked this combination, and it gave you this, and those gave you nothing).
There was also one thing, that I think was a bug, but I liked it. If you clicked on the cauldron after you added the components, but before it created the result, it gave you both the components and the result! This sped up my game quite a lot! And since you needed to click at the right moment it even felt rewarding- like I won all the stuff because of my fast clicking!
