This "bug" appears to no longer happen. Tested this with HF Patch 1.23 + Manual Plugin Updating + CharaStudio. When the next HF Patch comes out, it should include all the plugin updates needed to prevent this from happening.

Edit: KKS HF Patch 1.23, Not KK 3.33

Did you download HF patch 1.23 on Better Repack? Also, is there a way to scan for plugin updates or download them 1 by 1?

You get HF Patch from ManlyMarco's patreon, it usually contains the latest plugin updates. KKManager can not scan for plugin updates, you'd have to join the koikatsu discord to get plugin updates from the mods repository.
