Name: Ruby

Birthday: Fall 22

About:

Ruby is bold, confident, and fiercely protective — the kind of girl who speaks her mind and isn’t afraid to stand alone. With fiery red hair and emerald eyes that miss nothing, she gives off “don’t mess with me” energy… but underneath, she’s full of heart. Ruby hides a softer side behind quick wit and sharp glances — one she only shows to the people who truly earn it. She used to sing in the city, sculpt under moonlight, and run from feelings. Now she’s learning what it means to stay.

💓 RUBY’S HEART EVENTS 💓

💖 2-Heart Event – “Don’t Call Me Soft”

Trigger: Enter Pelican Town on a rainy day between 1 PM–5 PM.
Location: Ruby is sitting on the bench outside the saloon, staring at the clouds.

Scene:
You find Ruby soaking wet, not bothering with an umbrella. When you ask if she’s okay, she shrugs it off and tells you rain reminds her she’s alive. She jokes that she “likes the drama.”

But when a kid walks by and drops a toy in the mud, Ruby silently gets up, kneels in the muck, and hands it back with a gentle smile.

Choices:

  • 🌧 “That was really sweet.” (+50 friendship)

  • 😏 “So you do have a heart.” (+30 friendship, teasing tone)

  • 🙄 “You’re just being dramatic.” (-50 friendship)

Outcome:
If you’re kind, Ruby gives a small smile.

“Maybe I’m not all thorns. Don’t tell anyone.”

💥 4-Heart Event – “Firestarter”

Trigger: Enter the Blacksmith on a Monday between 10 AM–2 PM.

Scene:
Ruby’s arguing with Clint — she ordered custom metalwork and he’s late. You step in right as she throws some serious shade. Clint storms off.

Ruby sighs and admits she’s just stressed — she’s building something for someone else, not even herself. She just wants it to be perfect.

Choices:

  • 🔨 “You care more than you let on.” (+50 friendship)

  • 💣 “You didn’t have to snap at Clint.” (-30 friendship)

  • 🧱 “What are you building?” (+40 friendship)

Outcome:
If you’re supportive, she shows you a piece of the sculpture: it’s a metallic red rose.

“For someone who gave me kindness when I didn’t deserve it. No, not you. Yet.”

🌙 6-Heart Event – “The One Time I Fell Apart”

Trigger: Visit Ruby’s house (wherever you place it) after 7 PM on a clear night.

Scene:
You walk in to find her curled up on the floor, crying — the lights are off, her guitar is out, and she’s whispering the words to a half-finished song.

She doesn’t notice you at first.

When she sees you, she tries to cover it up:

“Forget what you saw. I was just… rehearsing.”

Choices:

  • 🫂 “You don’t have to pretend with me.” (+100 friendship)

  • 🎸 “You sing?” (+50 friendship)

  • 🕶 “You’re still cool, even when you cry.” (+25 friendship)

  • 😶 “I should go.” (-100 friendship)

Outcome:
She finally cracks a real smile and says:

“One day, I’ll sing for real. Maybe... for you.”

💌 8-Heart Event – “Midnight Confessions”

Trigger: Receive a letter from Ruby:

“Meet me at the railroad tonight. Bring nothing. Just... show up. —R”

Time: 9 PM–12 AM
Location: Railroad cliffs

Scene:
You find her lying on the grass, staring at the stars. She’s unusually quiet.

She starts opening up about her past:
She lived in the city. She burned bridges. She left someone behind that she maybe loved — but they didn’t fight for her. So she left and never looked back.

“I’m afraid if I let someone in again, they’ll leave. Or worse... stay and stop caring.”

Choices:

  • 💖 “I won’t leave.” (Begins romance if not already started)

  • ✋ “You don’t have to rush anything.” (+60 friendship)

  • 😶 “Maybe they had a reason to let go.” (-60 friendship)

Outcome:
If romantic, she kisses you — slow, cautious — then says,

“You’re dangerous, you know that? I might actually trust you.”

💍 10-Heart Event – “Burning Bright”

Trigger: Receive a letter:

“If I let you see me at my most real… will you still love me?
Meet me at the mines. Midnight. —R”

Location: Mines (entry level), 12 AM–2 AM

Scene:
She brings you down to a cleared room in the mine she’s been secretly working on. It's full of glowing red lanterns, sculptures she made, and a stage.

She steps up and sings.

It’s raw, a little off-key, but completely her. The lyrics tell the story of a girl with fire in her veins and loneliness in her bones — until someone lit a different kind of flame in her chest.

After the song:

“That was me. All of me. Not the tough version. Not the show. Just… Ruby.
If you still want me after that—then you really love me.”

Choices:

  • 💖 “More than ever.” (Romance confirmed / proposed)

  • 🖤 “You don’t need to be perfect.” (Romance continues)

  • ❌ “That was too much.” (Breaks off romance)

Ending:
If positive, she runs to you and hugs you like her whole world is finally safe.
