Also, I watched the stream and thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with us, we truly appreciate your feedback and your interest in how we shape the jam rules. We currently allow AI assisted code because it still requires a good amount of hands-on involvement from the developer as implementing, debugging, and designing gameplay logic all remain very much a human-driven process. In that sense, AI acts more like a productivity tool than a full replacement.
However, we don’t allow AI-generated visual assets because we want to keep the visual side of the jam fair and personal. Many participants spend a great deal of time and care crafting each visual element by hand, and AI-generated art can often be produced instantly with far less personal input. To ensure that visual submissions remain a reflection of individual effort and creativity, we feel this guideline is important.
