Thank-you for the thorough reply! Okay.. I bought chocolate and tried giving it to random girls and none of them liked it, I didn't realize they only like specific gifts. It's very difficult to guess which gift they like in this version and it takes a long time to grind up the money as far as I can tell. That one spot generates $5 a week and that other is $2, right? I think I will restart the game with 0.6, though I am sad I will have to grind all my grades back to "A" as that was really tedious. I think ultimately I just need the walkthrough for a good time, so I'm going to pause and wait for that and just start over. Thank-you for your help! Yes the early game grind is something several players have criticized. It's definitely something I'm going to look into improving. If it helps, remember that the grade simply determines how much your stats go up each time you attend that class. Currently the most you need in any stat to complete all quests is 30. You also don't need gym stat for anything currently. I may also update the item descriptions of the giftable items to better hint at which character they should be gifted to.
The money that lays around is collectible each day, not just once a week. There are three spots in downtown and three spots in the suburbs where money can be collected. The spots they appear are actually supposed to be randomized every time but due to an oversight on my end, they're only randomized...some of the time. I'll have to fix this. In future updates the player will be able to make money through more legitimate means like jobs or completing tasks for people.
