I am interested in staying informed but not interested in joining your Discord channel.
I reserve Discord for communication with friends and family. I would end up muting your channel because I dont want to have to keep sorting through all the alerts to find the messages that are most important to me.
Muting your channel would defeat the purpose of joining it.
Like I said why don't you just keep a DevLog on Itch?
