how do you complete an encounter
Get 50 capsules or buy the eject button.
hi, a Main encounter last until you pick up 30 capsules after it starts (20 if you have shelly trinkets) or until you buy the eject button
now its 50 or 30 capsules?

it starts at 20 capsules, so 30 more capsules after that it finishes (therefore bringing u to 50 capsules, but you can get more encounters after it)
