Wasn't being rude. I ment that as literal advise. When in doubt always ask someone. Wasn't ment as an insult or anything. Just what I would tell anyone. It might seem a bit off, but you'd be surprised at how often simply reminding someone about common sense can cause them to think of answers they otherwise would have missed.
