Holy shit I was not expecting this level of quality in story-telling, I haven't felt this emotionally involved in a story in a while. All characters are so loveable, it was so hard to choose only one, I even forgot for a moment that murder was going to be a part of the story.
I ended up coupling up with Syd, since they matched my vibes but with way more confidence. And while I was already preparing for not much caring attentions outside of sex, I was happily surprised of their reaction when we break down crying.
I know that my heart will not be able to handle it, but I need to know the full story, I'll patiently wait for it. I'm a sensitive idiot who gets attached to fictional characters too easily, so I'll definitely sob my heart out (just like on Syd's lap lol) if any of my favorites die/is the killer.
But seriously tho, I can't stress enough how good it's written. It's brief, direct, but extremely effective. The intimate scene was way more poetically descriptive than I ever imagined. And the way the feelings were narrated post-finding the body was really well done and effective at making me feel it. It's hard to explain exactly what I mean, but the description of the numbness feeling is extremely real, and those moments when we're on the verge of losing our shits and our thoughts just go:
''It's all fine.
You're fine.
You're fine.''
I really hope to see the story complete in the near future, even tho holy shit, I don't think I'll ever be mentally prepared for it. This is such a good story.
