"What do you recommend to start making games? Is it advisable to use Koikatsu?"

(1 edit)

Many of these games are easily made using the combo of Ren'py as the game engine with the renders created with KKS (Koikatsu Sunshine) and it's other component CharaStudio.

If you use KKS/CharaStudio, I recommend you use the Better Repack versions supplied and put together by ScrewThisNoise.

With my games being free and open-source, they can be used as learning devices for game development using Ren'py and KKS/CS at the moment.

FOSS (Free and Open-Source Software) is your friend here, it will cut the costs of software needed for game development.

LMMS for example is a DAW (https://itsfoss.com/lmms/)

Renpy is a game engine used for more than just simple VNs (https://www.renpy.org/)

"Which is your most complete game, so I can look at the code?"
(1 edit)

More like only 2 of them are not done right now. Nu Metal City has majority of the groundwork and content done for a game that I considered not complete. It is very open-world.

My other projects are worth looking into because each one has it's own type of code and varitey on UI and Gameplay.

If you are serious about learning renpy, it will do you good to learn how to change things up and use different UI and gameplay implementations. Otherwise you will get stuck and locked into one type of gameplay which will not be good for the long run if doing this for profit.

The Introvert Witch is a simple project compared to the others. Right now I'm doing a little update to improve it's quality of life. It is complete but I do want to polish it  up before moving back on to another project.

Why not check out my learning page for some Ren'py tutorials?

Linux Mint distro

Currently using a Linux distro as my workstation.

"In your opinion, do loli-type games have a future in the West?"

No. Lolicons outside of Japan are weak willed and poor supporters. They are the types to talk big, but can't walk the walk. They have repeatedly shown that they don't have the balls to fight censorship or for the future of lolicon games.

I have seen that the community is toxic and entitled. You can see for yourself over on All-The-Fallen forums to glimpse inside the lolicon community. Perhaps even Sankaku Complex and other communities that support and allow lolicon.

Months ago I spoke out and said that about lolicon not having a future, the lolicons there did not like it, they responded by reporting me and getting my post censored. That's rich coming from a group that supposedly hates censorship and gets repeatedly censored or attacked.

I do not recommend anyone to do lolicon games if it is for profit and business.
