Hey Kmitt, I'm currently playing your game and have some constructive feedback for you.
First of all, amazing work, i really appreciate it, especially for all the work that goes into finalizing your game and making it into a presentable product and i think you really showed something here!
So to the Feedback;
- Intuitively I'd expect controls like in the usual souls games, but mouse left and right click for left and right hands feel to be set more logically in Sandfire, which just goes against my muscle memory :D personally I'm more used to the side-switched-variant
- A few buttons in the menus we not correct, like the escape button hint for returning from the settings back into the game, while re-pressing tab did it
- ... And suddenly escape brings me back into the home screen :D
- I like how i tried to apply what i learned about combat in a second attempt and it really worked! feels good to see that the presented learning curve pays off! Seems to promote a hasty aggressive playstyle?
- I do miss a control overview in the settings for keyboard and mouse though
- A Q heals if equipped and middle mouse sheds light! must have missed that message :D
- Very atmospheric walking out the great door after the elevator
- i had the boss down to one damn hit, almost had him, but i was down to one hit too and thern he got me first. Nice work, i could feel the tension
- Little bug after getting reborn: I kept my double edged blade and picked up another one at the same spot as earlier
- Loved the fight against the invader, taught me to time my block to parry!
- Somehow glitched out of bounds in the desert in front of the cathedral, controls didn't work there anymore? could jump back out
So that's for the first test session, thank you for publishing this and thank you for the showcase-documentation of how you did it, i love the Kmitt-ment! :D
I'd love to see more in the future :)
