The goal is to balance the rhythm of your thrusts with your level of excitement and hit weak points to gain the most experience and increase your rank. It's not like a conventional rhythm or timing-based game where the rhythm is imposed on you.
Maybe using the term "Push-Your-Luck in the rhythm of your thrusts" would be more fitting?
