Hey it's Chris:

The name, visual style, music, and theme felt cohesive--amazing job on that. The premise of being a cashier ringing people up, then slowly unraveling their stories is a strong idea--I hope you continue with it.

That being said, here are my feelings while playing regarding the gameplay and writing. For example, the main player action is to pick Standard Price or Double Price; this could work, but what motivations do I have to charge people double? Perhaps you could try giving more context on the situation, and find ways to get the player to scratch their head making the choice. Another example is there were 2 NPCs where you can Inspect or Care: I felt very uncomfortable with those choices (even though I wanted to pick them) because why would a cashier ask their customer what's wrong? Let's say you went to buy a pack of cigarette today at your 7Eleven or Family Mart - I think you wouldn't like if a new employee suddenly ask you, "Hey what's wrong?" You would be like, "What the heck? I don't know you, man. Nothing's wrong with me." But if this was someone you knew over 2 years, it would be different.

I played until Day 2 because it bugged out and wouldn't let me continue. In addition, I cannot click Settings in the title page as well.

Great atmosphere for a jam work!
