Ah, that's so stupid on Itch's part lol, you'd think they'd only show it as having updated when something with the actual game had changed 😂

Yup, I love Shyloh, I had decided on holding off until we can actually pursue him, and until we know all of the trigger warnings, I don't do well with cheating, angst or sad endings, unless I know there's at least one ending where I can choose to stay with them lol.

So for games that seem to be a bit more complex than the standard "yandere kidnaps you and keeps you hostage" I tend to wait, I've unintentionally played games that gave no content warning for cheating or for no happy endings, and I always end up in a depressive hole for weeks afterwards, so now I'm more cautious, nothing wrong with either of those in games, I just can't consume them for my own mental health reasons 😅

Yeah, Itch can def be a little funky sometimes. Just recently we had a wave of spam accounts dropping random update links and nonsense (we had to ban like 15-20 profiles T~T). I even had to mention it in the latest devlog like, ‘Guys, don’t worry, I’ll always let you know when there’s a real update!’

As for Shyloh’s route, the content warnings should be listed in the Extras menu in-game! Most of them are based on the outline we’ve already finalized. If anything changes, whether in his route or for other pixies, I’ll post an update in the devlogs to keep players in the loop.

Adding this in, there’s absolutely no cheating in any LI route (I’m personally not a fan of that trope) so you can rest easy on that front. As for angst and sadness? Yes, there’s def that. But there are happy endings too! Some pixies have them, some… not quite. And by “not quite,” I don’t mean you just die in all of them; rather, you achieve something else depending on your choices (gotta refrain from spoiling XD).

For Shyloh, yes, he does have a happy ending! And let me tell you, the CG for it is soooo pretty, I really think it’s worth pursuing his route just for that alone (writer’s bias who?)~ Oh, and also the NSFW CG (ya’ll, this man’s packing…)

yeah, those spam accounts have been everywhere, I'm starting to think Itch would be better off just blocking links from being posted in comments, it sounds harsh, but seriously, I dread to think if someone was naive enough to click on one of those links 😭

Ah thank you! I genuinely appreciate that, a content warning list is a small detail for some, but it's pretty appreciated by those who would be affected by the content 😅

Ah yeah, I've been on the receiving end of cheating, a few times, and I've watched multiple members of my family cheating, so I find it really upsetting, no hate on anyone who likes that trope, but I just can't handle it 😅

As for angst, I can deal with games that have it, as long as I know there's a happy ending, I especially like the ones where you stay with the LI, though I wonder if that's an abandonment thing on my part now that I think about it 🤔

I can handle dying though, I've played both Boyfriend to Death games, and The Price of Flesh, and I thoroughly enjoyed those, even though the scenarios seemed pretty hopeless for the most part, but there's also a chance to live, and short of one character, you have the opportunity to stay with the "LI" lol, though I am super curious about Shyloh's happy ending(s), he is definitely my favourite, and now I need that NSFW CG 😍

Also, omg, I am so sorry, I just realised how long and rambly this was 😅

Oh no, I’m really sorry to hear that, you absolutely didn’t deserve to go through something like that. Sending you lots of virtual hugs and comfort <3 I totes understand why that trope would be hard to engage with after what you’ve experienced T~T

But just to reassure you, there’s no cheating in CA! All the pixies are loyal in their… let’s say questionably intense ways of loving (and occasionally trying to kill) you. Compared to games like Boyfriend to Death or Price of Flesh, I personally think CA is on the milder side (at least from my perspective). That said, I guess time will tell! I couldn’t even make it past Price of Flesh, I kept getting murdered in the desert (Derek’s route) LOL.

Also, please don’t ever worry about rambling, I love hearing people’s thoughts and personal takes on CA and the characters. Genuinely makes my day every time~

Ah thank you, yeah, it's why i wish more games would list it in the content warnings, since it's not an uncommon thing to experience, thank you for the hugs, it's appreciated 😊

Yeah, i can mostly deal with some upset, so long as I know there's at least one ending where I get to stay with the LI, which is likely why I loved BTD and TPOF so much, since with the exception of Mason, there's always at least one ending where they keep you, I wish more games would leave warnings when there is no happy endings, I remember watching a playthrough of a game (I won't mention which one) that I think was a dating sim, and there wasn't any happy endings anywhere, they were all really sad endings, which is fine, unfortunately the game had no warnings though, and a bunch of people, including myself ended up upset 😭

Ah, well I certainly do tend to ramble, I love what I've seen of Shyloh though 😊
