The art and animations were fantastic. I managed to get to the next day, but near the end had to do a lot of headbutting. Sometimes I was confused about what different plants did, when I put the fly traps down it seemed like they weren’t really doing anything whereas the melon bombers defense was really clear, and I think a short description of their skills would help out. The difficulty curve is good! Adding the new pathways increases the difficulty a lot (especially when you’ve run out of seeds) so strategically placing/saving seeds for different paths becomes clear in the second playthrough. Plays and looks really well in full screen! The plants do have a slightly different pixel aspect ratio than the MC which caught my eye - but having to make separate sprites for all of their states would just be a crazy amount of work for such a short period of time. Would have loved to see a little idle animation for the owl as well, the MC’s bobbing is done perfectly. Also love their colouring.
