I adored this game, just as the first one. I love your sharp characterization and I'm in awe of how in both of these games, all the cast feels fully realized despite the relatively short run time. It took me a bit to get to love Caramela as I did Crocket, but the more I read the more she grew on me and I sympathized with her. The prose is also very strong and evocative. The atmosphere is just as strong as the first one, albeit a bit different, which was one of my favorite parts of the games. The presentation is a big step up from the first game, the opening animation is incredible. I also love the choice to forego sprites and instead focus on cgs. I really like the choices here. Especially the "off-focus" cgs where instead of focusing on the characters the focus is on their backs, shadows, or the character isn't centered on the screen. It gives the impression that we are just overhearing the conversation that I really like.
I think it's a real shame that Hierofania has become lesser known as the genre is gaining more popularity. As the first game was one of my favorites, and the second one also has taken its place next to it.
I know H3 might be unlikely at this point, but I will keep looking forward to it, as well as anything else you chose to share.
