I haven't played murder mystery games all that much, so I don't think I have much to offer, but I did experience a bit of your game (I failed the trial 3 times..) I'm Vietnamese, so I really appreciate the theme that you guys put in, and the handcrafted dialogue, visual, and sounds! My gut feeling is murder mystery shines through the emotions evoked through theme (setting, character, narrative, music), the dialogues, and gameplay exists to serve those things (in your case, gathering testimonies and evidences then going to trial to clear Ming's name), and you guys are well on your way to deliver the experience! I'm rooting for you--great jammy work.
