I've played the game a bit, cycled the first week. And uhh... With seeing her on the first day, and finding out you just don't know her yet, uhh.. not sure where that would come in at all lol and wouldn't make sense. Idk, I'll probably just play regular version lol. (edit: IDK why whoever made it even did to begin with, because of that XD ) Not sure if it's because of that, or just because the game is still in early development, relatively, but it sorta glitched out. First, it reset back to day 1, and then also erased my name and reset it back to player without giving an option to choose a name again.
She's not supposed to be nude when you first meet her on the bench is she? During my character customization, I was messin around with stuff, and I pressed buttons meant for her, first time 'round. Messin around with them again when she was on screen didn't do anything either.
Also I noticed changing the player's skin tones does almost nothing unless it's like a flowery/fruity bright color, despite the vast options you have. First phase is also pretty barren. It... hardly feels like I'm playing a video game. More like a tech demo, or like a presentation, especially with pieces missing like dialogue, the whole watching or playing a game by yourself and all that. Which I totally get. And I do mean this in the best way possible. And that's exactly why I'm hoping yall are able to see it thru to the end because it really does look promising, both what I've seen here, and all the patreon stuff. Naomi is a great great character, beautifully drawn and everything. The 2d arts of her are also amazing. No matter how fast or slow the development is for the game, I'm simply glad it's still being worked on at all. Great games take lots and lots of time to make. There's this notion that a game should only take a year to make... But that's just unreasonable in my opinion. A lot of franchises do pump out a new game every single year, 2K sports games by EA, FPS games with little to no story or at least not a good one, and being basically just online pvp and that's it, for however many dollars each and every year... You look at Pokemon and it's a similar story, you can definitely see how unpolished they are within more recent years, or just post-gen5. If anyone knows what I'm talking about... At least Pokemon seems to be slowin down, which will hopefully improve quality and evergreen aspect aka replay value which has been the bigger gripe for me. But anyways I mean, my point is Rome wasn't built in a day. I get people are getting impatient, but they just gotta try and understand.
And sharing progress and behind the scenes development both here and on patreon does help, I feel. I look forward to the day that I can play the v1.0 version of this game, while I do understand that doesn't necessarily mean the game is fully completed or development finished.
All the best to yall (:
And yeah, I suppose that's why the option to skip to act 4, was it? is present from the beginning of the game haha. I'll have to try that tomorrow and see how it plays.
