I don't know why it wouldn't, I've done so with previous versions before, but don't be surprised if things get buggy or saves get corrupted.
witch files did you copy ?
how do you do that? i don't understand where to paste my log files
Saves are stored under your users appdata in locallow under Arvus Games, you should see Starmaker Story folders with save.json files and player logs, copy them from the old version
