I will preface this by saying that I meant the tag as in “people new to game jams” rather than “people new to lancer.” Lancer is a fairly complex game and I would generally recommend against trying to create something from scratch with no experience in the game.
That said, if you’re interested in participating but unfamiliar with the mechanics of lancer, I would recommend collaborating, and focus on non-mechanical aspect (narrative, art, finding assets, editing, organization, testing, etc). If the work is designed for beginners, it could be helpful to have a beginner in the team to see and how beginner-friendly the work really is.
