This is a real shame, I have bought both games and I loved the 2D one, maybe a remaster or expansion would help you to make some more money to continue funding the 3D version.
Maybe advertise 3D more on your Patreon, I would pay a monthly sub so you could keep developing the 3D version, I thought it was really promising.
