Just asking to see if any genre is acceptable or if you're looking for something specific. Common sense would dictate that one wouldn't submit a text-based RPG made on an engine designed for other stuff but people are weird sometimes. So, walking sim, combat, no combat, visual novel, deck based, are there any restrictions on genre, things you wouldn't play?

All is well so long as it adheres to the theme! Deck based might be hard in the engines allowed in this jam, but if you can do it, why not! I love seeing people get creative and push boundaries.
