Common man. You're already not stuck in the windows ecosystem like i and many others are, just switch to Linux.
When playing the game with Proton, it insta-crashes, and in Wine, some rooms permanently crash the game (even after deleting save data. Unless that also happens in Windows.
I haven't had any issues and I'm on windows.
