The thunder plateu is bugged for me, I can travel there but the only way the explore menu appears is when I foward a year, is it a bug or an intended mechanic?
I have the same thing, but fixed it by clicking World or Spatial Ring twice. It seems it takes you to the thunder plateau, but not to the explore screen. So going into a different menu and then clicking it again to close it does the trick.
