Art fight is this yearly event where artists are put into two different teams and the whole goal is to draw the other team's ocs.
Drawings are called "attacks" and the more "attacks" you do the more points you get.
If someone attacks you (draws YOUR oc) you can get "revenge" by drawing their oc.
If there's someone on your OWN team but they have an oc you really wanna draw or feel inspired to draw, you can still attack them regardless.
Some people make "hitlists" of people they know are participating in art fight who's ocs they want to draw or who they just want to attack just because. Or maybe even someone they didn't get a chance to get revenge on last year.
It's not really competitive, it is a competition of which team can make more attacks yes, but most people aren't really competitive about it. It's more about having fun and drawing within the community.
There are even "strategies" for getting as many attacks as possible.
Some people draw multiple ocs in one drawing getting multiple points with one drawing, some people never do full drawings only doing a whole bunch of sketches (less points than a full drawing but easier to make in larger quantities) some people mostly do revenges, some people NEVER get revenge, it's really just up to the person how they want to enjoy art fight.
Like any other art community there is of course Those People but really I just ignore those kinds of people wherever I go.
