Scores: 6.5/10
For Concepts:
Cool concept but its just underdelivers. Instead of teaching the player through dialogues, mechanics, or levels, it just forces player to read the "Tips" everytime you go through a level. The questionnaire system in email doesn't even inform you the right answer when you got it wrong (which collided with the concept).
For systems/mechanics:
No keybinds tutorial. It was a bit jarring at the start finding the usable keybinds lol.
The Browser mechanic potential was big but it was a simple search from email and buy to get more stats without showing what stats you gonna get first. Sadge
I don't get Downloader concept, unless he's just there ig. Could've add minigame to fight off mini-malwares while downloading or anything.
Then, It was annoying to read the same dialogue everytime you go through every level, especially Mail, should've been shorter once the player read the dialgoue again.
The balancing isn't that great either. You can't restore your HP and the difficulty scale was off the chart starting when the enemy can shoot bullets with high accuracy (because high speed). There's no save slot too, so if you die, you restart from the beginning. Even this was a bit challenging for a self-proclaimed decent roguelite player and can be frustating to play with.
You can spam the malware from the emails and get your stats really low from the start and it becomes unplayable, should've put the number limit where the game is still possible to beat but takes time. Reducing every stats is not the way.
For Visual:
The grammar isn't that great, especially the punctuation marks being wrong all over the place. I was very suprised with the awesome overall game visual (Arts & Animation)! The first thought that run through my head was "this feels like a completed game by a professional", so excellent job on that!
Overall:
Very awesome visual, especially for a thesis game! The mechanics are a bit lacking, especially the replayability. Best of luck for the thesis!
