As for the chrono rounds stopping the player, I wanted to incorporate a room where the player needed to jump into the abyss and stop themselves mid-air (perhaps because they were forced by a moving walls of spikes) until a platform moved over to break their fall, but I started working on the game seriously a bit later than I should have and ... well the deadline was quickly arriving so I had to make do.😅 thanks for the kind words again!
