Quick tutorial:
(Everything mentioned here is from my own experience maybe im wrong about sth etc etc yap yap)
!!SPOILERS!!
Basic Gameplay Loop:
- Get ~60 Red and ~100 Black
- Fly up to station with Red
- Sell all Black to upgrade stuff and refuel a bit
- Drop down to Floor
Fuels:
- White
- Speed: Medium
- Black/Dark Blue
- Speed: Slow
- Note: Very valuable when selling to station!
(~10 Credits/Fuel)
- Red
- Speed: Very Fast
- Green
- Speed: Fast
- Effect: Repairs Hull when used
- Blue/Light Blue
- Speed: Fast
- Effects: Charges up Shield up to 100
Obtaining Fuel:
At the start choose the flatter direction.
Constantly travel in that direction and land at Sources to obtain Fuel. You can extract Fuel even when landing a bit next to the Source, you dont have to be directly above it.
Prioritize Fuels for efficient moving between Sources in the beginning (White, Green, Blue) until you are in a safe margin.
Then go for Red and Black for selling.
Space station(SS) (Selling/Upgrading)
Space station is usually somewhere ~650-900
To get to SS use Red Fuel to get to a speed of around 66 flying straight up (You will need around 55 Red for this). That should be enough to get you there in 99% of cases. If youre not there and you start dropping again, add boost.
At the menu you can sell colored fuel, buy white fuel and upgrade the ship.
Upgrades:
- Hull capacity: +50 Hull capacity
- Fuel Capacity: +100 Fuel capacity
- Rest: im not exactly sure what they do as theres no way to see it in numbers.
In the beginning go for hull upgrades for higher mistake tolerance when collecting fuel.
Before dropping down get a bit of White(200-300) to be able to move around.
When dropping:
- Activate the shield
- Hit Surface
- Stabilize yourself with booster
- Deactivate shield and begin searching for fuel
Fuel use for traveling from source to source:
Blue -> Green -> Red -> White -> Black(if you have to use Black just restart lol)
Fuel use for landing:
White -> Blue -> Green -> Black -> Red
(I would recommend to not use Black for landing because its use in landing is nothing compared to the value it brings when selling)
Shield
Great way to get up after falling over.
Shield size scales with Shield charge, there are cases where parts of the ship stick out of the shield if you have very little Shield charge.
Well thats all i can think of right now, if anyone knows more tell me and ill add it ^^
