Without spoiling, could you share which CG causes the crash? Also, what are the specs of your phone
Hmm... when the background (or entering a CG video scene) involves video playback, stuttering starts to occur. If other dynamic elements appear at the same time (such as a character wagging their tail, change posing or transition effects), the application tends to crash easily. However, if the background is static, this issue doesn’t occur.
I suspect it's because the video cg's (or background's) quality is too high for the phone's display to handle. While playback using a regular video player is smooth, using Ren'Py's built-in player might still be too demanding on Android devices in terms of performance.
My phone is running Android 14 with 6GB of RAM.
