Destination the Planet is a fun, nostalgic 3D Platformer with a lot of weirdness and collecting. It’s a vibe though. I was expecting out and out strangeness but was not expecting the really decent platforming sections like the rotating tower or hidden areas like the cave (with one of the best soundtracks I’ve heard in ages! Ghibli esque!)
The mechanics are fun and moveset great. Momentum based and it’s fun to throw yourself around the level and find hidden things. I love the applause when you collect flowers - proper stock sound game show applause - may even be like an audience whistle in there. Don’t hold me to that.
I don’t fully understand it and that’s the best type of experience for me. People never understand great art! Great job aimkid. You’ve created something original, deep and fun.
