When I save the game, it makes a sound but that's it.  Not sure if there was supposed to be a save slot option. The problem is after I save and turn off the game, when I start it up my save progress is gone.  It starts a new game.  I have the game on a Everdrive Mini and playing it on my GBA SP.  I was having a lot of fun with the game and made a lot of progress on my first playthrough so it was a bummer that the game didn't save.

unfortunately, we don't have an everdrive to test this, but it might be related to the save type. If your everdrive has that option, try changing the save type to flash 64
