Suggestions:
- adding voicelines for the shopkeeper would be really good touch and improve the atmosphere
- choose a similar, but more readable font
- or just increase font size: the prices are the crucial pieces information, they should be more visible
- for item A, the text “item above me” means something else when it’s on the very top: it means the bottom-most item, which is confusing and the player should be warned
- to make things more chaotic and fun, and because the cow is so gluttonous, it could have a hunger bar: if you don’t feed it for n rounds, it will die (but that’s just my preference for chaotic elements in games)
- the sprite where the gluttonous cow’s mouth is wide open is perfect
overall feel
I loved the game. It looked really nice, polished, and it made me think about my options. For some items, I felt like they don’t have that much use, but I don’t know if there is a hidden significance behind them. The most money I had was about 60$, which isn’t that much.
