Hi, This was a known issue in the older version but it is fixed in 1.0.3 update. Sorry it caused you trouble! It shouldn't break your save file though (I think maybe the screen has just stayed black?) If you message me on any of social media, you can send me your save file and can fix it for you (patreon, pivix or twitter works best)
