I might have a temp solution. This sounds like your settings file got corrupted.
Go here: Dreams of Amelia [CuddlePoint] EA v0.8.7fix2\Dreams of Amelia_Data\StreamingAssets.
There should be a file called "autosave.uwu" and "settings.uwu".
Try to delete the settings and check if the game is okay now. If not, try the other. getting rid of both should hard reset the game

It helped, thanks!

Unfortunately for me it doesn't even have these files that I can delete and I have the same issue as UwUBodypillow

Argh just when I went on tiny vacations >.
I am terribly sorry Goo :((

Tell me, did you play the demo BEFORE the latest update? Also, do you skip the intro? by click or by rapid clicking? right away or after couple of seconds? do you play in fullscreen?

Sorry for the barrage of question D: I just need to know more

No problem! I didn't before, I had just found the game and wanted to see it out. I clicked on the first time on accident and it went to blank screen. I could hear the background actions but nothing I could see. I tried re-downloading it and still same issue.

How about you open the game. click play. let the intro play for like 5sec. and then skip it with ESC.

Ya I attempted to let it run the whole scene and it also ended up with a blank purple screen, I wait a bit and press click or escape and same deal. I go into settings to try windowed mode and it reverts back to full screen when I go into the game. Any settings I attempt to have set don't work it seems.

After you did all this - you are supposed to have that .uwu file in the game structure. Can you check for me do you have it?

Ya I didn't have that show up. I created a file to hopefully fix it but no dice haha.

Ok figured it out, it is because the naming scheme for where the folder was located went over the 250 character limit. The main problem was that I had the folder located 3 layers deep in my folders and that the folders with the naming were to long and went over the limit causing errors. I moved it directly to the C: drive and deleted the uwu and the issue resolved. I had forgotten until today to check that.
