When I try to run this version, steam opens and says no licenses. Was I supposed to receive a key or anything?
Yeah, I'm looking at my purchases and I don't see a steam key file. Maybe it isn't added yet?
looks like they might have uploaded the steam version my mistake. Simply removing the steam files fixes the issue and makes the game playable.
