After coming back to this game after a while of not playing it, I started a new game. I initially played the "Danger's Lurking" quest again on an older version to determine if I wanted to pick it back up again, as I was in kind of a limbo state where I didn't know what I wanted to play. After playing that, I got the newest version (as of writing this, v0.98) and I got back to dangers lurking just now. there's something I immediately noticed different between versions. It sounds like someone is trying too hard to flex an upgraded vocabulary. I won't go into any specific lines to avoid spoilers. The dialouge in the older versions sounds much more natural.
Good to know. I normally get the updates over on Patreon, so I hadn't realized the changelog was more in depth here, I'll keep that in mind going forward. The latest part of the game I've been to is with the blue haired cat girls (that I currently don't remember the names of) and what happened with them, and this was a couple years ago now, so there's a number of characters that I don't recognize. I'm looking forward to getting to know them.
