try installing everything (the dll) for the other version of windows that you have. For example, if you have windows 64, try installing the 32 version in the folder System32 (also try to install the dll in the folder that you have the game) This work for me, and I was having the same error (0x0000007b). But in my case was the MSVCR110.dll that wasn´t found. Hope that help!
