I feel it's very generous that the developers have offered their product for free so far. It takes a ton of time and money to produce a game. So we're not paying for the final episodes, we're really paying for the entire game that they have been giving away for free until now. They gave us an 80% (or more) free demo, which is hella generous. We were able to get a very deep understanding of the product for free instead of buying a game without knowing if we'll like it. I know I'm posting a lot in this update comment section but I feel strongly that developers deserve to be paid for their labor and monetary investment into the product that we have come to love.

Yea, I totally agree with u! Its probably because im not used to most developers doing this exactly. Im used to them sending out a demo whether its long or short and then separately posting the full priced game. I don't know how to explain it better lol.

Your experience is totally valid. I feel I've seen other developers use a similar model where they develop the game for free, incorporating feedback as they go along, then offer the final product for sale. Or at the very least it doesn't seem odd to me
