Hi! So sorry but I just played the updated DEMO and apparently the option no longer exists :( After the update, pieces of dialogue and choices were completely changed and added to which applies to the no longer existing << Surrender >> option. It's very unfortunate these scenes don't exist anymore but I'm sure you could find a playthrough that isn't the update DEMO! I hope this helped, so sorry for not double checking :((
