To answer your second question: Samantha does have a glitch in one of her dialogues where you have to pick the accept choice twice. Also, have you spoken to Ken after photographing her and helping her on the beach a few times? If a new option comes up where Ken admits he's a virgin, that's how you progress with him & Samantha.
