Bad and naughty cats get the gurgler

A lot of people like fatal vore and I had a character everyone loathed so I was like, okay I'll do one for y'all. To be clear like as a writer I also think offing her was narratively sensible. And I mean hey she's not completely dead she's just entered the ass zone

In my mind she didn't deserve or not deserve anything, this game doesn't really operate on morals and justice, things just happen to people. That's kind of a core aspect of apocalyptic fiction. The world ain't always a just place.

Have to agree with Nova25. It may not seem like it at first, but it is a massive tonal shift and while I get that it's apocalyptic fiction and that people dying is par for the course, I still think this is substantially different from the other stuff that happens in the game. I also understand that you are the author and the choice is yours, but I'd like to see her come back in a future update. It definitely feels a little off brand and if you really do need to write her off then maybe warning ahead of time and maybe even a toggle so that isn't exactly what happens.

I think it's also partially that the Cat of Act 3 honestly seems like a completely different character than the Cat of Acts 1 and 2. I have a hard time imagining Cat of acts 1 and 2 doing the stuff she did in act 3 willingly.

Also the victim blaming. Rachel was god damn awful to her and somehow it gets turned around to Rachel was the real victim?

honestly yea, cat getting turned nto ass fat felt really forced, specially with rachel being the one to do it. in general cat acted really weird in act 3, idk i kinda hope she gets like undigested? in the future imo she didnt really deserve it

hopefully her "death" means something in future updates, i still havent finished the game i already finished the visit with mom so and im ding sidequests, but maybe have our girl say somethign like "yo thats like a complete overeaction" beacuse we spent a whole ass mission trying to save her from rachel and now that kinda makes it feel worthless

idk that like my major gripe right now with the story

I sort of saw it coming since the first cult thing, when they were sutffing Amber against her will and Cat simply got turned on, dude they're hurting your gf and you're just horny? It icked me and I knew something was sketchy there

(+1)

were they hurting her? All i rember is her wanting to leave beacuse she didnt want to deal with their profecy BS but idk i might be missremebering

But i do rember cat helping them in the battle against the cultist

I think that's the crux of it! It's kind of a testament to the writing quality of the game as a whole that as someone who A, is into fatal vore, and B, has never particularly cared about Cat, I was rubbed the wrong way about this whole situation enough to really dwell on it and actively search for discussion about it. Because ultimately, while Rachel so casually and deliberately digesting her was definitely kind of a tonal shock compared to how the game usually handles that sort of thing, I think the real issue that made it feel bad is that it honestly feels like Cat got character assassinated entirely to make her fate seem somewhat justified. She had issues being an enabler and a bit toxic about her feederism before, but that abruptly got turned up to 11 in the harem encounter, then she doubles down on that behavior instead of learning anything from her initial karmic punishment and the narrative seems to shift to blame her exclusively for The Rachel Incident (even though Rachel was very much the instigator there and shares the blame even if Cat did get carried away as it went on. She warned Rachel she would and that it was a bad idea at the start lol). Just felt very off, and I really hope she does get rescued from The Ass Zone(tm) at some point seeing as it was even pointed out there are at least 2-3 already established characters that could probably do so. Because if not and that's actually it for her character, that's not a "hey, at least she's not actually dead!" reassurance, that's a fate worse than death lol.

Still really enjoying the game regardless though, Wires's backstory was really captivating and well done :)
