Yes, follow the guide inside the Android app, you forgot to delete the previous app before starting the v1.9 one.
Make sure to follow it properly because that's your only way to keep your old saves.
There is one feature like this in "New game", but I forgot to update it to the v1.9
You can use it to go directly to the end of v1.7 tho
