I played Her Tears Were My Light years ago, back when I was younger and stumbled across it almost by accident—and it’s stuck with me ever since. Coming back to it now, it’s just as beautiful as I remember. The love story between Time, Space, and Void sounds almost too surreal on paper, but somehow it hits hard. It takes this abstract, cosmic setting and makes it feel deeply human, even tender. The rewind mechanic is simple and elegant, making each moment feel intentional, each choice meaningful. The art is soft and expressive, the music understated but emotional, and the whole thing wraps up in a way that lingers. I can’t help but wonder what a sequel would even look like—but honestly, I’d just love to see what they’re doing now, where the characters ended up. It’s a short game, but it leaves a galaxy-sized impression.
