In terms of new content, no, sadly. There will be more free characters eventually, but we don't have a set release schedule for that since we like to refine them beforehand.
But free players do get all the performance and file size reduction benefits that were in this update. In addition, most of the typo's and chat bugs were with those free characters. So they offer a much better gameplay experience now!
