I keep coming back to this. I think it might be one of my favorite pieces (if not my favorite piece) of interactive fiction. Definitely one of the best works of vampire fiction I've read (and trust me, I am obsessed, the pool is not small).

There's so much to it. The fact that her husband isn't harming her on purpose, but that he's ignorant to her wants and needs, which ultimately leads to the same end? Her being stifled and repressed? The fact that he (alongside her brother) represent patriarchy, compulsory heterosexuality, etc, and that she cannot preserve Sawhill's life without becoming consumed by her bloodlust and hurting Emma? She cannot have a healthy sapphic relationship while trying to appease this form of patriarchy.

Finding beauty in and having compassion for the grotesque, ie the dying horse. The sex scene. The coven. Everything. Everything about this is so good. I played this for the first time three years ago and to this day am OBSESSED. I made an itch account not six hours ago, I just had to comment given the chance.

In short: wowowowowow. Whoowee. Wow. Love.

wow thank you so much!❤️

Do you think this game might be hit by the recent bans? I'm very alarmed and would love to be able to download Bleeding Heart, if possible.

from what i can tell, bleeding heart (and my entire catalogue & creator page) has been deindexed but still accessible and playable here thru direct link and i believe downloadable through the itch.io app (for now)

i am currently working on getting my own website up to host all my games away from itch.io so regardless i definitely plan on ensuring it stays available to the people that want to play it!
