This was definitely a scary experience. The spider's feet making that pitter-patter noise when it turns quickly, creeped me out quite a bit.
I would have liked a map, because I got lost and confused really easily. Also a list of objectives/tasks and what you've already gathered and still need to find. The audio also always felt like the spider was on the same level as you and that made it somewhat confusing to navigate. These things made the game a bit more frustrating for me after a while and took a little bit away from the scare-factor.
Great job on the checkpoints after death! I am very happy that one doesn't have to start from the beginning every time.
Overall, great game. I definitely had nightmares of spiders chasing me for a couple night after this...
