Yeah it was a nice experience. The other critique I have is in the second area after you first rescue the robot you can kill all the security bots at range without triggering any of them so that a bit easy to cheese.

I liked the gameplay and the addition of the log files that you could find so really no criticism on your execution!

I do wish it was maybe a bit more original. Classic fps for the most part and the laser puzzles were nice but felt like a clone of Portal or The Talos Principle. I would have liked to see a mechanic or aspect that made it stand out. But it was very well done!

I 100% agree with your criticism. I felt the same way after getting the game into a playable state from start to finish. But my goal wasn't exactly to be inventive with this project, it was just to create a robust product that was complete as I haven't completed a project in several years. So I used this jam to get back into the habit of completing things.

I'll polish up the issues with this project and then I'm hoping that completing this jam project will give me the motivation to keep going and complete my other projects that have stagnated.

Thanks again! The constructive criticism is extremely helpful. I can't wait to start playing everyone else's games this weekend!

Totally fair and if I didn't make it clear before, it's a super solid project! My first game that I sold on Steam was a jigsaw puzzle game and for me that was also about learning and creating a manageable project start to finish :)
