Its tagged female Protagonist for a reason lol I mean i can't speak for the creator but some creator just want to make game targeted to female so it is what it is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

(+3)(-9)

Yeah but it very easily could be viewed from a male POV, if you want to go into game design you should really think about ALL the people who want to play your game, now there's a whole demographic that can't enjoy this game and it also means less downloads for the game. Honestly I don't care if people want to tag their game as female protagonist that's fine, I just think it's more enjoyable if you let more people feel represented especially if you have people in the comments begging for it.

But making the link that BL doesn't have female protagonists was just stupid. There's tones of straight media and very limited LGBTQ+ media.

There's nothing wrong with asking for more pronoun options, just shows people enjoy/are interested in the game, plus it's fun making more customisation options as it allows you to continue expanding on a game.

Creators who  makes  bl game. Their target audience are  male audience and nothing wrong abt that like its totally okay  Just like if some creators wants to create games targeted to female audience .Like idk why u kinda pressed abt creators wanting to create games for whichever targeted audience they want like  i don't see ppl in the comment of bl games saying please make female option right? Or pls make this inclusive because bl creators can indeed make and option for female or male mc but then some prefer to stick with male mc only and that's totally fine creators can have their preference cause it is their game

BL and GL exist because of the amount of straight media that's readily available. There is nothing wrong with having a preference for catering to a certain gender but a game were the player is the main character it's a normal thing to do to provide multiple options of pronouns as you don't know who's playing and it's a very simple thing to add in.

Most visual novel games are all ocs, the creators own characters that aren't directly the player themself so yeah it's understandable that it's not changeable. I'm fine with those being just female MCs same with the other way around, but this is a game catering to the player and by not adding in different pronouns it pushes away a large group of players.

Really all I'm saying is you should include everyone as it makes it more accessible and enjoyable for whoever.

Also you clearly don't understand BL/GL games as no you can not make those straight as that's taking away the story from those characters. Those games typically focus on the creators original characters and again they're not directly the player themself.

I mean if the creator wanted to make it they would and could but if they do not want to then let them be they  dont necessarily have to ? Plus it's a free game just enjoy it  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's a game they put up for free, yes. Sure they don't have to add it in, but you're supposed to give constructive criticism to help them improve and they can take it into account of what their audience wants, otherwise they will never add to their work. I'm stating that more pronouns could definitely improve aspects of the game.

Plus, I was just answering your question of why they could consider adding a male option, don't ask if you don't actually wanna discuss it. All you've done is repeat the same thing over and over.

N my pt for my first reply is that the creator does not need to make the game catered to male audience if they dont want to like not everything must have to have  male option if they made the game with a female mc then so be it why ask them to make a male option like if they wanted to they would have earlier on but the fact they didnt then just leave it be? And no I never ask u to explain. Whatever inclusivity if u dont like the fact that the creator did not gave the option for male mc then just don't play?  Or do play but just play it as if like a characther game idk  like the last game the creator made it was like female mc also i think so if they wanted to make this game male mc then they would but if they didnt then no bigge and no need to reply with ur lengthy explanation  it's werid for u to advocate for why this and that in a comment section i find u having to type lengthy respond to educate me on why this and that is kinda goofy when I just tryna state a pt 🤣

bro fucking write better man you're giving me a headache, PUNCTUATE!!!!! I'm writing big, lengthy things cause it's something I care about, geez

If it bothers u then dont read ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

(+2)(-1)

U think u all that and a bag of lays. It just sucks to be underepresented and it sucks to have to 'pretend' when other people don't have to. It really sucks. It's literally just about people wanting to be able to enjoy the game to the same extent as everyone else! I understand that creators can lit do whatever they want with their own creation but if they're pulling in other audiences who think some changes would make their experience more enjoyable then I don't see the issue?  It's not like the creator HAS to do what's being requested, of course not, it's their game. But suggestions like this aren't to be taken as a bad thing. Inclusive male options are just a nice thing to have, imo, as a queer guy myself.

Idk why ur so bothered about lengthy explanations when this is an open discussion of opinions where views are meant to be shared. Literally, it just sucks to not be able to enjoy games the same as the rest of the audience. That's all.

(-1)

cause it not like I dont get the pt of what they were tryna say no need to reiterate cause I was also stating my pt n opinion idk why they kept explaining like they tryna change my opinion or justify their view pt or sum ? Plus lengthy responds are disturbing the comment section 💀  like if ur tryna type me an essay might as well email it to me cause no need for the disturbance ...as said life suck sometime but it is what it is

(+1)

I lowkey think we are disrupting the dammm peace with our lenghty ahh responds🤣🤣  we might as well just remove the comments or it be chaotic as hell ngl ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

why do women have to coddle and include everything and everyone? Women's spaces and media is lacking and dwindling, not everything has to be inclusive. Media exclusively for women should exist and we shouldn't be pressured into opening our spaces if we don't want to. If you want more inclusivity make your own things, seek out different games, make a mod or just ignore the female pronouns and insert your pronouns in your head. I do wonder, do you pressure men into inclusivity too or do you know that women are under more pressure to be socially acceptable and take advantage of that fact?

(+3)(-2)

I'm not saying women have to coddle everyone? No where have I said to exclude women and make it just for men?

It allows more people to have fun and enjoy themself, it helps people feel comfortable, it's a nice thing to do and I think it makes the community of these games super fun! ^^

Obviously if it was a game where you could customise the player and name them for yourself but had to use He/him even though it wasn't important to the story, I would say something cause again, it isn't fair and leaves out more people who could really enjoy playing that game.

Some visual novels (typically boys love and girls love) tend to use original characters both created by the author so you can't change the pronouns?  But if the player can create an MC and name them whatever for the game then I think more pronouns just seems like an odd thing to leave out.

Not once have I said exclude women? Idk why you're trying to make It sound like I am, I've repeatedly said it'd be nice for everyone. It wouldn't take away from your experience at all, you could still use she/her in these games, it just makes it more accessible?

And I am working on making my own BL story. Difference is both of the characters are mine and my boyfriends and who you play as isn't customisable, so it'd be odd to have different pronouns.

I'd like to mention though, it's a weird thing to bring into the conversation when you don't know me, you don't know my opinions, you don't know anything about me and you're making me sound like I'm taking advantage of women? Women are incredibly strong and capable of voicing their own opinions and having debates. Just cause it's a debate about including more pronouns instead of just she/her does not mean I'm pressuring women, being a feminist is about inclusivity and equality and that's exactly what adding more pronouns would do.

I just wanna make it clear I'm not trying to exclude women 😭 I just don't see what's wrong with including more people AS WELL as women? Like it just seems more fun man not like I'm forcing you to use different pronouns 😭

(+5)(-1)

It sucks to have to do it 'in our head'. This was simply just making a suggestion, not a demand, the creator can obviously do whatever they want with their own game. I think inclusivity for all is good for everyone, afterall... that's the whole point of being inclusive.

down to the creator to do what they want to do! their game afterall, just trying to explain the reason why ppl might be suggesting other options! :]

This wasn't an attack or demands from women.

oh noo please don't ask to add a male self insert mc into this visual novel i want just girl >:c anyways people are free to ask and it's up to the dev to add it or not. you don't have to comment on their behalf. maybe instead of saying "seek out different games" you go do that. there is a LOOOOOOOT of games with female protagonists but this is a visual novel with a literal self insert character. adding a male mc would not take away the female mc. and i actually don't think i ever saw a vn where the mc is a self insert and only male.. i'm sure people would be disappointed with that too and want a female character too so... i mean basically all vns have both female and male and often nonbinary options for obvious reasons. but again it's up to the dev to decide based on whatever reason but it's literally okay for people to ask and want to be included in a y/n game..
